Instant Messaging Server & Gateway

Secure Point-to-Point Corporate Instant Messaging and AOL, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo Gateway

Our Instant Messaging Server & Gateway is a secure, enterprise instant messaging solution that will improve the speed of corporate communications while achieving a rapid return on investment.

Merak IM can be used for secure IM communications internally, or as an ICQ, AOL, MSN and Yahoo Gateway, allowing organizations ranging from small companies to large corporations to quickly and easily deploy secure instant messaging locally or globally.

Merak Instant Messenger solution is compliant with the Jabber open XML protocol, however, it is based upon our own proprietary IM engine, thus ensuring secruity, stability, speed and power. Our Instant Messenger server engine is not based on any open source code, however, basing it on the Jabber open XML protocol ensures compatibility with various Jabber compatible instant messenger clients and other modules supporting this standard.

It is possible to use any Jabber-compatible client, however we have tested and recommend JAJC (Just Another Jabber Client). A special IceWarp-developed client with special mail-oriented features is coming soon!

Byfalcon Mail Server’s secure Instant Messaging server is:

bulletMulti-user: User-to-user locally and across organizational boundaries
bulletMulti-domain: users across multiple domains can communicate
bulletMulti-server: users across multiple servers at different locations can communicate
bulletMulti-network: securely communicate internally or with ICQ, AOL, MSN or Yahoo IM users
bulletIntegrated with Byfalcon Mail Server: Runs as a service with Byfalcon Mail Server
bulletCompletely secure: using secure sockets (SSL)
bulletCost effective and extremely easy to implement
